The Show - Lu'au Kalamaku: An Epic Polynesian Journey
At Lu'au Kalamaku, we offer more than just the usual Hawaiian feast. Yes, you'll enjoy delicious ono Hawaiian food, an imu ceremony, Tahitian rhythms, vibrant music, and traditional hula dancing, with even the drums handcrafted by our own performers. But this is where the ordinary stops and an extraordinary journey begins.
Our immersive show transports you to ancient Polynesia, set during the time of legendary voyages between Hawaii and Tahiti, along one of Polynesia's longest sea routes. The story unfolds through laughter, fear, seduction, and fire, creating a new legacy rooted in ancestral heritage.
The dramatic finale features a breathtaking fire dream with fire poi balls and fire knife dancing. Key figures from Kauai mythology, including Pele the fire goddess, her sister Hiiaka, and the fire-breathing Moo-dragon, bring the legends to life in a climactic performance.

Start your evening with a ride on the sugar cane train or explore the grounds before heading to the luau buffet or enjoy the exclusive Manor House Experience with a sit-down, 4-course meal.
The show begins after dinner, and for those who opt for the Manor House or Premium packages, you will have seats closest to the stage. This luau stands out as a theatrical journey, immersing you in Polynesian history as we explore the legendary connection between Tahiti and Hawaii.

Any request for a refund 72 hours or more prior to the start of the tour or activity is honored with a full cash refund. No refunds are issued for any cancellations inside the 72-hour period, prior to the start of your tour. There is no refund for no-shows. There is no charge for date change or tour change based on tour availability outside of the 72-hour cancellation period.

Is There Transportation Available From The Cruise Terminal In Lihue?
There are options for taxi and ride-sharing services that you can book on your own from the Lihue cruise ship terminal. If you would like us to arrange transportation, please let us know at checkout. There will be an extra fee.
Are Children 2 And Under Allowed At This Luau?
Everyone is welcome to attend this wonderful celebration of culture, art, and food. Children 2 years and younger are free of charge. They will not have a reserved separate seat but ask the host when you arrive for high chairs and other needs. We want you to enjoy yourself and be comfortable.
If it is raining do they cancel the show? If so what is the refund policy?
The luau organizers watch the weather carefully and will cancel or postpone the event if needed. They have a lot of experience in putting on their events in Kauaiʻs rainy climate. If the luau is cancelled you will be asked if you want to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Are you close to the cruise terminal?
We are about a 5-10 minute drive from the cruise ship pier. Choose the option for transportation at checkout or you can book your transportation directly with uber or taxi.
What Is The Difference From The Package From Lihue Vs The Package From Kauai Hotels & Pier?
The package from the Lihue is the option to drive yourself to the location. The option from Kauai hotels and pier includes transportation from those locations.
Is transportation included or an option to be picked up from the hotels? Is there a parking fee if we drive?
There are multiple options for transportation at checkout from most Kauai hotels and the cruise ship pier. Itʻs worth if you are planning to really enjoy yourself. There is free parking on-site if you choose to drive.
