Join us on this unique sunset tour, where you visit Haleakala National Park and watch the beautiful sunset colors from the summit area of the mountain.
Our tour begins with hotel pickup and takes you into Upcountry Maui for a stop at Kula Lodge & Marketplace, where you can purchase lunch and souvenirs. We will also stop at the Ranger Station and the Haleakala Visitor Center.
Then, we climb higher up the mountain to watch the sunset in the park. The beautiful scents and sights surround you from this sacred peak. The summit elevation of 9,740 ft offers a sunset view that cannot be surpassed anywhere on Earth.
- This tour is operated on winding roads. It is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back or motion problems.
- Please dress for winter weather. Ears muffs are your friend.
- Hotel pick-up is provided from major Maui hotels. Enter the name of your hotel at time of reservation. We are not permitted to pick up in residential areas or at B&B’s.
- Dress warmly for your Haleakala tour as temperatures fluctuate. This tour is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory conditions that may be exacerbated due to high altitude.
- People who have gone scuba diving should wait 48-hours before going on this tour. No refunds if sunset not visible due to inclement weather conditions.

How Far In Advance Do I Need To Book?

Is The Haleakala Crater Volcano Still Active?
The volcano is still considered an active volcano, though it has not erupted for a few centuries. The last eruption occurred in the 17th century.
What Spots Does The Tour Stop For Us To Have A Special Ceremony?
Kalahaku Overlook is the only place that we stop on our tour where it is approved to scatter ashes of your loved one. You can apply for a permit ahead of time to do this from the park directly. There are other areas in the park where you can scatter ashes with a permit. They include; Pu’u’ula’ula (Red Hill), Pa’Ka’oao (White Hill), and Leleiwi Overlook.
